Contract Sewing

Carnegie Textile Co. Contract Sewing Carnegie Textile Co. Contract Sewing

Carnegie Textile was contacted by a national retail furniture chain looking to take advantage of our contract sewing capabilities. The customer discovered us through the ThomasNet online industrial network, and selected us for our reputation for quality work, competitive pricing and a willingness to take on challenging requirements. As a major supplier of industrial and institutional textiles, we were more than capable of delivering the bedding accessory work the customer required.

Our manufacturing work consisted of JIT delivery of cut and sewn products, made from customer-supplied materials and 2D drawings. Primary equipment consisted of industrial sewing machines modified with non-standard sergers able to handle the thick upholstery material. Product was of varying size and produced in 4000 unit volumes. Visual inspection was used for quality control.

Through our diversified and flexible capabilities, the Cleveland, Ohio based customer found a single-point solution comprehensively covering their needs. Despite this being our first project involving consumer furniture work, our expertise allowed our normally industrial focus to expand and include contract sewing work in aesthetic materials. Contact us to see how our capabilities can help your textile projects.
